Biography:

Alina holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in chemical engineering awarded by Babes-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca. Alina completed her studies with an EMBA from the university of Hull in the UK, awarded in 2018.

Alina started her career as a chemical engineer in a Romanian company, and joined Emerson in 2011, where she held several roles, including Global Customer Care Manager and Business Center Director. In April 2019, she became the General Manager of Emerson Cluj - the largest and most complex Emerson site in Europe, with over 2800 employees. Emerson Cluj consists of a unique mix of shared services and manufacturing organizations, with a very broad range of expertise and job roles.

In 2016 Alina launched the Women in STEM organization in Cluj and in 2017 she became the leader of Women in STEM European organization, present today in 15 countries with more than 2000 active members. The organization supports professional and personal development of women in Emerson, and at the same time aims to inspire young kids and students to pursue STEM careers through a series of impactful events and initiatives.
